Knoxville In-Home Newborn Photography Session

It’s always fun to photograph Knoxville in-home newborn photography sessions after already doing maternity photos. I already know the couple a little bit and watching them transition from the excited anticipation of their little one’s arrival to finally holding their newborn baby in their arms is so special.

Planning The In-Home Newborn Session

When Kelley told me, during our pre-session vision and planning consultation, that she and Nick had decorated Marsden’s nursery in an Ocean theme, I was not prepared for how incredible it was.

When I walked into the nursery I was floored by their ocean mural. Naturally, I had questions and it turns out it was actually wallpaper. Kelley also told me how much she’d loved Whales as a little girl. It was so fun to see that reflected in the nursery for her son.

Needless to say, we started their session in the nursery and took most of their photos there. We were even able to capture some sweet moments of Kelley nursing her son when he got hungry towards the end of our session.

Then we headed out to the front porch for a few more photos. It was actually pretty cold that day, but the Hawes family were troopers (and we moved quickly!).

Creating Family Heirlooms

One of my favorite parts of the KWP experience is creating albums and wall art for my clients. Creating these heirlooms is such a meaningful way to ensure your photos are passed down through generations and enjoyed over and over again.

We designed a beautiful little newborn album and some wall art options.
