As a Knoxville in-home lifestyle newborn photographer, I am so grateful for the families that hire me again and again. This is the second newborn session I’ve gotten to do for this sweet family. This has been super sweet too since I actually knew Becca from playing basketball together in high school. We were both homeschooled and it’s always great to reconnect with old friends through my photography. It’s been so fun to get to know her husband, Terrence, through working together as well.
Watching the two of them step into parenthood has been such a joy. They’re such attentive and patient parents and I’m so excited for them to welcome their newest addition.
Becca and I worked together to plan outfits. She had this adorable teddy bear newborn gown that was just perfect for little Theodore “Teddy”. We pulled in the blues with her older son’s shirt and her husband’s shorts.
Then we chose this gorgeous 100% cotton dress by Worth Collective from my client closet. We loved that it was feminine, soft, beautiful, casual, and yet still elevated.
Although the session was for little Teddy, we made sure Oliver felt included. He loved to show us where his little brother’s nose and toes were. We gave him plenty of play breaks, snuggles, and started a tickle fight.
I never expect older siblings to have it together. This is a huge change for them and anything I can do to help them feel included and important, I’m going to do it.
We got a mix of sweet and playful family photos as the morning went on.
