When Jordan Arms reached out to me to plan her Knoxville Spring maternity session I was so excited. I photographed her third baby, June’s, newborn session a few years prior and I was excited to get to capture maternity for her as well this time around.
As we chatted, she told me that she wanted these photos to feel like spring because this was her fourth baby and her prior maternity photos had been Summer, Fall, and Winter. She was due a little early for spring flowers, but we were determined to make it work.
We schedule the shoot for the end of March and in the weeks leading up to her session, I started scouting out all the areas to see where the flowers were blooming. Naturally, we ended up at one of my favorite spots: Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum.
There’s a glen full of trees with beautiful white flowers. I’d like to tell you what type of trees they were, but if I’m being honest, I’m not sure.
Towards the end of this Knoxville maternity session, we found another spot at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens with beautiful purple trees to get a little more variety.
Needless to say it was lovely. The light was beautiful and so was the family. We captured all the snuggly moments and sweet interactions during this season of anticipation. A Knoxville Spring maternity session was the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of their newest baby girl.

One of the things Jordan told me when we were planning her session is that she has a photo of everyone walking and holding hands from each of her prior maternity sessions (and her engagement session!). We made sure to capture this shot again to continue the tradition. I absolutely love when my clients share things like this with me.
Many of my maternity clients choose to preserve their memories through custom wall art and albums. Here are just a few examples from this beautiful maternity session.

Printing your memories is my favorite way to ensure they are not forgotten. Letting the wall art from your session live in the home where your family can see and enjoy it daily is why I do what I do. Whether you have your favorite photographs arranged on your wall or you have an heirloom album on your coffee table to flip through with your little ones, these memories deserve to be seen, held, and cherished.
